As an entrepreneur, you're going to have to put in long hours and make sacrifices for your business.

Successful Entrepreneurs Are Passionate About Their Work. If you don't love what you do, don't do it. I genuinely believe it's as simple as that. 

As an entrepreneur, you're going to have to put in long hours and make sacrifices for your business. That is not a good thing. If you are passionate about your work, you will give it all. If you don't know what you are passionate about, you will try your hand at anything.

Focus on Your Strengths. 

Your strengths are the things you are best at. Suppose you are a skilled bookkeeper, don't start a company that requires you to deal with cash. If you are a talented photographer, open a photography business. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, start a personal training facility or a counseling business. 

What are you best at? Make sure your business focuses on those strengths.

Don't Quit. 

Running your own business is hard work. If you get to the point where you feel like you have gained any valuable amounts of value from your job, then don't quit. Ask yourself what is not working? What are you doing too much of? Is there something you can do outside of your job that will bring you more value?

Make Money. 

I cannot stress this enough. If you don't make money, your business is not making any money. How can you make money? Advertise. Use your talents and make recommendations to others who are best suited for the work you are trying to get done.

Don't Give Up. 

If your business starts making money and begins to get a sense of satisfaction, don't give up. Things aren't going to be easy, but you will learn from your mistakes. It will take persistence to succeed, but that is normal.

The best way to ensure you don't give up is to build up momentum. Take one step forward, one step backward, and you'll eventually figure out how to get to the top. If you give up, you're never going to make it.
