Many entrepreneurs struggle to find the right business model to provide them with the income they desire without becoming unmanageable or taking up too much of their time. This can be especially hard for those in established businesses for a long time, as the habits and practices of the business are harder to break.
The answer is right there in front of your nose if you want it!
It's been shown repeatedly that the majority of the population spends most of their waking hours (90% - as recent studies have shown) online checking email, social media, surfing the web, etc. That's a big problem for those looking to get into an online business as it is for those who have been doing that for years and years.
The majority of the population has very little interest, time, or interest in any other business. So what do most new entrepreneurs do? They forget about the business model that they were taught and take a chance on whatever is presented to them, and more importantly, what they want to do.
This is an extremely poor strategy.
It would help if you had a business model that you can be passionate about, which will help you take your business to the next level. You need to be able to say to yourself, "if I can do what this person is doing, I know how to get to the next level." Your business model has to be something you can share with others. I'm not talking about something you share with your family or friends; I'm talking about something that's uniquely your own.
Your business model has to give you the freedom and flexibility to determine when you are done.
The key is to find a business model that you are genuinely interested in that you can indeed be passionate about. If it's not that, you won't have that fire burning in you to get the job done. It's a bit like taking a trip - it's more than enough to enjoy the scenery, the people, and the culture. It would be best if you had that fire burning in you to explore the country and experience new things.
Your business model has to be something that will give you a sense of accomplishment when you put it to bed. That sense of accomplishment has to come from an area that you are passionate about - your product or service, your process or method, even from an idea you had - something that will give you a feeling of satisfaction when you put it down. The satisfaction has to come from something that you are willing to put your blood, sweat, tears, and more into. You need to be able to say, "I gave this business my best shot, and it paid off. I enjoyed myself every step of the way." The key is to take a step back and feel proud of yourself.
